The Friday Night racing for the Nationwide Series was great!! But I think I am partial to night racing. Brad qualified the #88 Navy car 33rd and to say I was worried with him being in the back of the pack on that short track...But those boys don't ever give in. Brad Keselowski drove his heart out and fought his way thru the field and before long he was up in the field. You have to give it to the crew and the driver for never lose site of what they need to do.... In the end they brought home a heavy fought 11th place finish!!! I was so proud of them!!! That is a long way from where they started from!! I am telling you what I cannot say enough about the teamwork and dedication these guys have on the Navy Team!! Keep it up boys and Get it Done!! There will be a WIN here soon enough!!!
Ok I guess this is where I have to talk about Saturday night racing in the Sprint Series....UUGGHH...I think I put it off long enough....I KNOW you all felt the same as me and still having a tough time with it all...This was a tough pill to swallow.... Dale qualified the National Guard car in 22nd position and I was once again worried about him started deep in the field...but we all know that JR has a fire in that belly of his and he brought that car thru the field and head to the front... Saying that I was cheering up a storm when he was leading would be a huge understatement!!! But.... we all know how that finished up....I have so many different issues witht he way the end of the night ended in the last few laps.... I cannot even express them all!! (yeppers you know it, some are foul) Sooo many issues and thoughts!! I am sure you know what I mean, huh?! Also the emotions after the race...uughh , my heart just fell to the pit of my toes I think with JR's post race interview... God love him for talking to the reporters!! I don't know if I would have been able too... OK OK I don't want to stir up the feelings again, so let's look at the silver lining....JR and the #88 National Guard Team still brought home a Top 15 finish and they are still 3rd in the Sprint Cup Standings!! Big picture guys that is what we have to focus on with after race like that.... Another good point is with the 15th place finish the winning charity for the race is Pit Crews 4 Kids...see we still had a WIN from the race for this Charity....I am thinking that after the last race that will give them more fuel them for this weekend's race at Darlington and they will Get it Done FOR SURE!!!!!! There is no doubt in my mind!!!!
Our Fantasy League...Guess what...We have a new leader....WooHoo!!!! WTG! See I told you that that anything can happen and it is a very long season! In just a blink you could be middle pack then before you know it...your smart picks will shoot you right on up near the front...it is so crazy how that works....Here is the standings after Richmond:
1. Ted's ECRT
2. smokin88car
3. True Speed 08
4. AMPChevy88
5. Armchair Racing
I also have to tell you ....just outside the Top 5 I see alot of new names, that indeed are making the charge and probably about as hungry as JR is....Hang Tough and keep working the drivers!!!
Ok I will will wrap this up..You ALL keep up the drive and support and you know it will come..Like my motto says..." Don't ever give in, because you never will know what could have been!"  Again a reminder to stop by the PBC website and corral up your spot in out "RAISE THE BARN" Fundraiser... Read up on our Guest Commentary for this month which is on Joanie Benson who is the Director of the Horse Protection Society, what a wonderful organization.... Let's have a Gr88t Run!!!
Let's all have another great weekend of night racing at Darlinton. and Let's go racing boys and Get it DONE!!!....and one side note... Let's send out some special Blessing to all the mothers out there... HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY to ALL!!! You all are appreciated and we are thankful for all that you do!!!
Hugs,
